Last weekend, I was lucky enough to attend a MELT Level 1 Refine training in the Netherlands. It was an amazing weekend where I spent time with other MELT Instructors from Europe. During the training, I was able to refine my teaching skills and learn more hands on cueing. I have come back from the weekend inspired and even more enthusiastic about spreading the MELT word. Since becoming a MELT Instructor, I have worked hard to spread the MELT message and we now have 9 qualified MELT Instructors in the local area. All of these instructors found out about MELT

One statement my clients are going to hear me say in 2025 is we all need to improve our strength. As a Personal Trainer, I have always known the importance of strength training for both men and women. Many of my clients are women over 40 and they are often told about the benefits of strength training as they head into the peri/post menopausal stage of life. However, a lot of people aren’t aware that going head first into a strength training plan can create some issues for our bodies, as this is a time of change for us. It

Finally, Summer has arrived and with it the anticipation of holidays, longer evenings and for some people a break from routine, especially when the school holidays begin. In this blog I'm encouraging everyone to keep on keeping on, and continue with your routine this Summer. Summer can be the time when we take up something new or return to old hobbies. Many people get inspired to try tennis again after Wimbledon, or rowing following the regattas. Or some people return to old hobbies such as gardening or walking with the (hopefully!) improving weather. All these extra activities are fabulous but

Over the last 2 years, I have been loving teaching MELT and I am now a Level 5 instructor and I am so pleased with how adding MELT to my repertoire has really helped me grow my business and reach more people. This blog shares more about MELT and the way I’m now working. When I first started teaching MELT, no-one really knew what it was and my clients were intrigued by what I was teaching and how I was using soft balls and rollers in their sessions. Some of my clients were hooked immediately, but for others it took

I feel very lucky to be able to say, that I really do love my job. However, as the famous quote from English poet Jon Donne says “No man is an island." I believe that is true of the work I do. I'd like to share the way I work with some other local therapists for overall balanced wellbeing. As a MELT Instructor, I am able to help clients lead a more active and pain free life. I love seeing the changes that can be made to both my client's bodies and their wellbeing. However as we always say, MELT

I have been teaching MELT since 2021 with some amazing results for my clients. Having been a Pilates Teacher for 12 years, I felt it was time to add to my repertoire which is how MELT came into my life. As a teacher, I tend to attract clients who are either suffering with an injury, wanting to stretch more or become more mobile in their everyday life. Pilates has definitely helped my clients achieve some of their goals, but when I added MELT into my practice, it took both my teaching and my clients well-being to a whole new level.

What a roller coaster the last two years have been for everyone! It has certainly been a turbulent time with everyone being affected in some way by COVID. We have all had to adapt to change to accommodate this new way of living and I think everybody has had their ups and downs. Pre-pandemic, I was running a successful Pilates business from my studio in Wokingham. I ran small Pilates classes for people local to me and I loved it. As I have mentioned in previous blogs, all this changed in March 2020, when we went into our first lockdown.
